Early Warning Sensor Pad Sacral seating alert
Most patient safety chair alarm in the market today uses sensor pad in the seat to detect when a patient is rising from their seat, the type of patient alarm is activated by pressure and they are usually placed on the seat. The second type uses a cord that is pulled by the patient and that triggers the alarm to go off, the cord is fastened to the patient so that when they get up they will automatically pull the cord at the same time. The limitations of these two methods are that they both only sound the alarm after the patient has gotten off the chair, they are almost an after the fact alarm. This system actually alert the caregiver as soon as the patient lean forward thereby helping them make sure the patient is safe.
