Going up or down an incline greater than 6”
An attend is always recommended when going up a steep incline to guard against loss of control, any incline that is more than 6” will require an assistant this is because this is high probability that wheelchair can tip backward thereby hurting the user.
Avoid stopping when going up an incline and if it becomes necessary to stop, if and when you want to start moving again then start moving slowly till you gain a steady speed, do not make any for sudden move that can cause the chair to tip backward.
